The Moving Violations are a rock band that play classic rock, new rock, and blues. The band is comprised of Jason Kemp (lead vocals, harmonica), Paul Walker ( bass, vocals), Gerald Beeston (drums ) , Jeff Walker (rhythm guitar , vocals ), and Vince Vitacco( lead, rhythm guitar, vocals). The band have been playing together since the 90's.
The MV's play both pub rock and Corporate Rockin' Blues shows as well as doing original music.
A typical pub rock set list of the band would include songs like : Ahead by a Century and New Orleans is Sinking by the Tragically Hip, Keep Your Hands to Yourself (Georgia Sattelites), Mary Jane's Last Dance (Tom Petty) ,Kryptonite(3 Doors Down),I am the Highway (Audioslave ), Howlin'for You, Lonely Boy (the Black Keys) , Miss You (the Rolling Stones), Last Kiss (Pearl Jam), as well as blues standards like Who's Been Talkin ' (Howlin Wolf) , and Sweet Home Chicago *(various artists).The band also does original music. The band specailize in playing pubs or any place that people are looking to have a good time, and the band likes to help the pub owners SELL BEER . The Moving Violations have recently played engagements in places like the Rockpile in Etobicoke, the Horseshoe Tavern , Grossman's Tavern, Strathcona Hotel in Toronto, and numerous pubs around Ajax and Pickering and the Durham Region. Jan 2019 - The band has also just released its first cd of original songs called "First Offence". To hear the album in its entirety check out the site player. The album is available on this site in the "Buy a CD section" and will be available at gigs in cd form but will soon be available on Spotify and itunes.
April 2017 - The MV's have just released "Stanley's Comin Home " a playoff anthem for the Toronto Maple Leafs. You can purchase a copy of the song from this site.
Jan 2020 - The band is currently in the studio recording a new EP called " Road Ready " which will be released on Spotify and Apple Music in Spring 2020.
